Mark Paton
Mark Paton
"I believe every Australian has the right to hear."

Mark Paton has provided hearing services in Australia since May of 1983.

He opened a clinic in Toowoomba, Queensland on that date.

He was one of the first contract holders in Queensland in 1993 when the Pensioner hearing rehabilitation scheme was opened up to the private sector.

He, with his partner Lisa Burley grew the practice to one that provided services from Tenterfield in the south, to Kingaroy in the north, Boonah to the east and Miles in the west.

At its peak the company employed 22 people. It was the largest privately owned Hearing Clinic west of Brisbane.

In 2007 the business was sold to Southern Hearing Investments.

Mark Paton continued to run the Toowoomba and Kingaroy clinics and Lisa Burley managed the Warwick clinic.

In 2014, Mark and Lisa Burley moved to the Qld Sunshine coast.

Mark Paton took on the role of state management of the Ihear clinics, this encompassed training, mentoring and Locum services. He also focussed on the development of new clinics.

He is the current Vice President of the Australian College of Audiology, and has been chair of the Peer Review committee.

He is a Fellow of ACAud. A member since 1996.

He is part of the permanent ACAud examination panel.

He has worked on several committees with OHS, most significantly the development of the current OHS portal.

Lisa Burley
Lisa Burley
"It's the smiles on patients faces that keeps me coming back."

Lisa Burley has provided hearing services in Australia as a Qualified Practitioner since May of 2000. She has been a member of ACAud since 1996.

From February 1987 she was involved with the development of Hearing Aid Specialist Toowoomba, which became Mark Paton & Associates.

She, with partner Mark Paton grew the practice to one that provided services from Tenterfield in the south, to Kingaroy in the north, Boonah to the east and Miles in the west.

At its peak the company employed 22 people.

In 2007 the business was sold to Southern Hearing Investments.

From that time on She managed the Warwick clinic Mark Paton continued to run the Toowoomba and Kingaroy clinics.

In 2014, Mark Paton and Lisa Burley moved to the Qld Sunshine coast.

Lisa Burley took over the management of the Ihear clinic in Caloundra and subsequently the development of the clinic in Beerwah, this encompassed training and clinic development.

She has been up until recently a long time member of the ACAud Peer Review committee.

She has provided supervision to several provisional clinicians.

In 2019 she was awarded Clinician of the Year for Ihear.

Lorraine Munro started in the hearing industry started in 2005 in New Zealand working for Bay Audio as a receptionist.

I moved to Australia and secured a position working for a private hearing company Clear Hearing in 2006 completing a diploma of management inĀ  2007.

I have developed repair and trouble shooting skills for many different hearing aid brands.

I am proficient in several Practice Management systems.

The company was purchased by Widex and I eventually became the state manager for Queensland.

In 2014 I started to work for Ihear as the office manager obtaining my commissioner of declarations qualification in 2017.
