Living better not just longer

The second highest cause of death in Australia is Dementia, let that sink in. The statistics indicate that 1 in 10 Australians over 65 have Dementia. The impact of Dementia on partners and families is not easily measured but it is profound.

Is it inevitable? No, there are many risk factors that lay within your control. Hypertension, Diabetes, alcohol overconsumption, depression and Physical Inactivity are all factors that can be dealt with to reduce the risk. The number one modifiable risk factor in mid-life for age related dementia is hearing loss! Untreated or unrecognised hearing loss is responsible for more dementia than all the risk factors mentioned above combined.

Australia has a fantastic program in place that allows Pensioners and Veterans to have their hearing assessed at no cost, and, if necessary receive high quality hearing devices, once again at no cost for the devices.

Choose an Independent Australian owned Government accredited hearing clinic and take the opportunity to live better.
